NRMCA Programs
Alongside our ACI certified field and lab testing programs, ARM brings National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) professional development courses right here to Minnesota. Where ACI programs certify hands on testing and inspection skills, NRMCA’s courses build the business, sales, leadership, and field finishing skills that move careers and companies forward.
Most sessions are held at the ARM of Minnesota Event Center in Eagan. Registration, current dates, and seat availability are managed directly through NRMCA. Click any course below to register.
Concrete Fundamentals
One Day Course · $995 Member / $1,250 Non Member
An introductory overview of the essential knowledge needed to work effectively in the concrete industry, covering the role of concrete in construction and the basics of cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures. This course serves as the starting point before moving into more advanced, role specific NRMCA training.
Best for: New hires and non technical staff needing a working foundation in concrete.

Three Day Course · $1,650 Member / $2,050 Non Member
Today, everyone who talks to a customer is part of the sales team. This practical course delivers a sales framework through ready mix specific simulations, role plays, and case studies, including how to sell concrete’s sustainability advantages and win pervious and parking lot work.
Best for: Anyone with customer contact, from dispatch to outside sales.

Two Day Course · Built on NRMCA Benchmarking data
Roughly a quarter of concrete producers lose money in any given year. This course, built on NRMCA’s own Performance Benchmarking Survey, walks through how volume, pricing, and cost decisions actually drive profit and return on funds employed, equipping managers to run their piece of the business like an owner would.
Best for: Plant managers, controllers, and anyone with P&L responsibility.

Two Day Course · $1,200 Member / $1,550 Non Member
A good supervisor changes people’s lives. Studies show a manager can affect an employee’s mental health as much as their doctor does. This redesigned course covers three dimensions of supervision: managing yourself, managing your time, and leading others through communication style, conflict management, and generational differences at work.
Best for: New and experienced supervisors, and anyone being groomed for the role.

Review Session · Written Exam
This certification focuses on the industry’s best practices for placing, finishing, and curing exterior concrete flatwork. The program contains a review session covering the curriculum addressed on the written exam. ARM is an approved local sponsoring group for this NRMCA program and schedules exam sessions directly.
