Fred currently serves as Executive Director of the Aggregate & Ready Mix of Association (ARM). Fred is a registered lobbyist in the State of Minnesota. He is Past Chair of the Executive Committee of the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota (www.cts.umn.edu) and is past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Transportation Engineering and Road Research Alliance (TERRA).
He served as Executive Vice President of The Minnesota Transportation Alliance and worked on funding for transportation projects in Minnesota. He has served as a member of the Metropolitan Council’s Transportation Advisory Board, the Scott County 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update Process Steering Committee, a Board Member of Minnesota Guidestar and the Transportation Policy Institute, a member of the Joint Agency Task Force on Speed Limits and Highway Safety in 1995 and was appointed to serve on the Minnesota Transportation Study Board by Governor Rudy Perpich in 1989. In addition, he has served as president of the Shakopee Area Chamber of Commerce, co-chaired the Scott County Transportation Coalition, served as commissioner of Olympic Town and Expo Center for the 1991 International Special Olympics and is a past chair of The Better Roads and Transportation Council of America.
Fred currently serves on the RMC Research and Education Foundation Advisory Council (www.rmc-foundation.org ).
He is a Past President and current Board member of the Minnesota Center for Mineral Resources Education (www.mcmre.org/)
Fred is the current President of the Board of Managers of the Prior Lake Spring Lake Watershed District (www.plslwd.org )
Fred and his wife live in Prior Lake. They have two children and five grandchildren.
Technical Advocacy Director
Tumer began working for ARM in June 2016. He is originally from the Republic of Turkey, where he served as executive director of the Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association. His educational background includes a civil engineering degree from Bogazici University in Istanbul as well as a Master's and PhD in materials. Tumer lives in Minnetonka with his wife and three children.
ACI Education Coordinator
Dan holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Before coming to work for ARM as ACI education coordinator, Dan worked for Scott County, Iowa as a Project Engineer, was the Executive Director of the Concrete Paving Association of Minnesota, the Vice President of Highways for the American Concrete Paving Association, and in 2002 he started his own consulting business specializing in training and research of concrete pavements. Dan lives in Park Rapids with his wife, Debbie and has three children, Katie, Mike and Rick.
Jill was raised in Minneapolis and attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where she was awarded a B.B.A in Airport Administration and Management. Jill has been employed by ARM since December 2004. Before joining ARM, she worked in the airline medical device industries. She and her husband live in Farmington with their two daughters.
Renee is president of Spark Plug Consulting with expertise in marketing and content strategy. She supports member engagement by writing and editing content for the ARM and Bye Bye Pothole websites, the Member Update e-newsletter, and case studies about member projects. She also markets member events and oversees the work of writers, photographers, printers, and graphic designers. She lives in Woodbury and works from her home office there.
