Glenn Engstrom Joins ARM as new Director of Engineering, Research, and Technology Transfer
The Aggregate & Ready Mix Association of Minnesota (ARM) is excited to announce that Glenn Engstrom has joined the team as ARM’s new Director of Engineering, Research, and Technology Transfer. Glenn comes to ARM after retiring from MnDOT and three decades of successful leadership, including his most recent role as the Director of the Office of Materials and Road Research.
In his position as Director of the OMRR, Glenn led a team of 125 employees to provide technical expertise in the areas of materials testing, pavement management, geotechnical engineering, and pavement research to MnDOT, counties, and cities. It was under Glenn’s leadership that the National Road Research Alliance (NRRA) was launched and rose to prominence.
Prior to leading the OMRR, Mr. Engstrom served in several other MnDOT capacities including, Chief Geotechnical Engineer, Assistant District Engineer for Maintenance, and Manager of the Minnesota Road Research Section.
Glenn’s career began upon graduation from the University of Minnesota. In addition to his decades of service at MnDOT, Mr. Engstrom also gained experience in roles with the Federal Highway Administration and with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
