The Central Corridor light rail will link five major areas in the Twin Cities: downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, the Midway area, the state Capitol complex and downtown St. Paul. This corridor runs 11 miles on University Avenue from Emerald St. SE to Robert Street and through downtown St. Paul. Aggregate Industries is supplying 210,000 ton of MnDOT Class 6 100% Virgin Aggregate. The project began September 2010 and is scheduled for completion in 2014.
