ARM Members Send Employees & Equipment to Transportation Rally

Hundreds of people, including ARM members and their employees, braved the blustery weather and showed their support of increased road-funding last week at the Transportation Rally. The Capitol Mall was overflowing with people wearing hard hats surrounded by heavy equipment, including ready mix trucks from AVR and Cemstone.

Those present were urging Governor Pawlenty to accept an increase in the gas tax with additional monies going to fund aggressive road building plan.

Thanks to all ARM members who participated in this important event!

RMC Research Foundation Changes Name

At their recent meeting, the RMC Research Foundation Board of Trustees voted to change the name of the Foundation to the RMC Research & Education Foundation. The change better reflects the mission of the RMC Research & Education Foundation since the education and professional enhancement of the industry’s personnel is an integral aspect of the Foundation’s goals.

The mission of the RMC Research & Education Foundation is to support research and educational programs that will increase professionalism and quality in the concrete industry. Additional information about the RMC Research & Education Foundation and those programs funded by it may be found at www.rmc-foundation.org.

PCA Ads “Do it Yourself Ad Zone” Website

The Portland Cement Association has unveiled a brand-new, web-based product called the "Do it Yourself Ad Zone". This website enables the user to create customized print ads, brochures, event postcards and e-mail "blasts" for use in promoting residential concrete products to both consumer and non-consumer audiences. In addition to creating the products, PCA’s vendor, Redleaf Digital, also acts as a print fulfillment source, and can ship the completed items directly to you, or to a mailing list that you provide to them. There is no fee to register and begin using this dynamic new service. All fees are charged on a "pay as you go" system, whether you are creating a PDF file to take to your own printer, or using Redleaf as your print provider. I think you will find the printing rates charged by Redleaf to be very competitive with local printers in our area. CLICK HERE TO TRY IT OUT!
